RGB-Thermal Wildlife Detection Dataset Creation & YOLO Training
Built an object-detection dataset from synchronized RGB and thermal drone footage, including frame selection, thermal-to-RGB annotation transfer, dataset cleaning and YOLO11 training. The final dataset contains 6,194 images across six classes, with the thermal YOLO11l model reaching 0.660 mAP50.
